Archived Departments & Research Groups
The groups archived here belonged to our institute for several years, either as an independent research group or as part of a department. For groupleaders, the time spent at our institute often serves as a springboard to a scientific career of their own, starting as an assistant professor or even as a full professor heading a lab / institute. Usually there is still a close scientific exchange between them and us, up to cooperation in scientific projects. The presence on our website shows the research activities of the groups during their time at MPI-IS. Links lead to the current websites of the respective research group at their current research institution.
